Have you ever considered adding a color frame to your pictures in order to make them more appealing for print? This is possible via the many image editing tools out there, but it can also be done via Microsoft Word if you know what you’re doing.

What were going to do here, is use the page border feature in Word since it will allow you to create a frame that best fits your photo. If you’ve had experience with using page borders before, then chances are you might already know of what to do.

Let us talk about this in more detail, shall we? Good.

1] Open a Word document

Before getting started, you must first open a document in Microsoft Word. You either begin by opening the document via Microsoft Word or open it directly from the file saved on your computer. Whichever option you choose, it doesn’t matter just as long as the document is up and ready for editing.

If you do not have a Word file saved, then create a new one by clicking on Blank Document, or CTRL + N.

2] Add a picture the document

You will now want to go ahead and add a picture to your document. You can do this by clicking on the Insert tab located on the Ribbon, a, or Online to download and insert one from the web.

3] Resize the image

Once you get the frame and app synced up its all about getting your photos on the frame. You can either select photos from off your mobile device or even grab content from off Google Photos. I tried both options and they pretty much had the images on the frame in a matter of seconds. The frame also allows you to “share” your frame with others which is frankly giving away the PhotoShare Smart Frame ID. By doing so they can send photos via the app the same way you do. Now if they don’t want to do any of these various options you can use the included email . I did find trying to send multiple photos in one email never got sent to the frame but sending them one by one they popped up in couple minutes. If you have multiple of these frames you can add them all on the same app and send away.

Day to Day

Using the PhotoShare Smart Frame has been pleasant for the most part. Sending photos by various means is fluid and didn’t result in any issues. Now this frame does have the option to take videos and I have tried it and it looks fine but isn’t my cup of tea to have videos randomly playing. This frame does support different orientations  There is an auto-dim feature that will adjust during the day and night and go off when there is no light around. You can disable this if you want it to run or stay the same constantly.

Preview & Save: It’s very easy to use the app. Just add a photo, browse a variety of photo frames and preview them with your photo and click save button when you like one.
